After some tinkering and improving, there are now 2 versions of ScreamIt available in the App Store. ScreamIt Lite is the classic ScreamIt — now it’s free! You tap start, the screen blacks out, and the phone sits in wait for someone to pick it up — then the screaming face appears and the loud scream plays.

And now, with ScreamIt you can use your own pictures and sounds to booby trap your phone. Just take a picture of something or pick a photo from your photo gallery and record a sound if you like. Just like ScreamIt Lite once activated the phone goes black and then next person to move the phone (or unlock it if it’s gone to sleep) will be greeted by your picture and sound.
